AMETEK Hughes-Treitler's Engine Surface Air-Cooled Oil Coolers (SACOCs) are custom-designed thermal management solutions engineered for commercial, military, and UAV engine applications. Utilizing lightweight aluminum plate-fin construction, these coolers are designed to integrate within engine cowlings and ducts, maximizing available surface area and airflow for efficient heat rejection in space-constrained environments. HT's SACOCs are optimized for applications where thermal efficiency, low weight, vibration resistance, and pressure durability are critical, delivering reliable performance across a wide range of operating conditions. Typical designs support oil inlet temperatures from 200°F to 250°F, oil flow rates from 6 to 12 GPM, and heat rejection requirements ranging from 60,000 to 100,000 BTU/hr. Backed by decades of aerospace heat exchanger expertise, each cooler is custom engineered to meet the unique requirements of the platform, providing durable, long-life performance for demanding engine cooling applications.
